Harvest Festival and Final Service at Mawnan Smith Methodist Church

Harvest Festival and Final Service at Mawnan Smith Methodist Church

Mawnan Smith is a ‘class’ of Falmouth Methodist Church. We meet in the village on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, whilst giving the opportunity to our congregation to join the larger church in Falmouth on the other weeks. The last service in our old Methodist Chapel was held on 30th October 2022, please see the attached photos of the last service, conducted by Revd. Andrew Mumford, which show the Harvest collection for our local Food Bank. As from 1st November, services in Mawnan will be taking place in St Michael’s C of E Church at 10.30am, which is directly opposite the old chapel.

Our Anglican friends also hold services at the same time on the alternate weeks, so there is always a service to attend on a Sunday morning. There is some parking at St Michael’s, and access is good into the church building.

Relationships with our Anglican friends are developing well, and we are invited to join their Celtic Worship service on Wednesday mornings, and we are exploring restarting ‘Open the Book’ as a joint venture.
