THANKS TO ALL OUR FMC COOKS AND SUPPORTERS: On behalf of the Church Family, I want to express gratitude to our band of FMC Cooks who so readily provide delicious goodies for various events. They have had a very busy time during July. Firstly, delicious cakes were provided for the Circuit Open Gardens afternoon, held at my house. Then cakes and goodies were provided for the monthly Cake Stall, this time held at Mawnan Smith, followed by more wonderful goodies at Bonallack for the Vintage Tea Treat. Then, in the same month, a superb selection of desserts for our Soup and Sweet lunch. Many more of you have helped with the success of these events in a variety of ways and I am sure you would all have a round of applause if that was possible. Perhaps August will be quieter, just the monthly Cake Stall on August 17th!! THANK YOU ALL, from Jane B
Our Church’s Future Story: Thank you to all those who stayed to contribute to our meeting last week. It is wonderful that so many people had such great ideas. It was a lovely time of sharing our future-plans. Thanks too, to those who prepared and served our soup and sweet lunch. FMC Stewards
New Monthly Bible Study for the Autumn: Following our meeting last Sunday many expressed the desire to have more Bible study/House Groups. Sarah, Louise and Jo would be willing to host and run this at their homes. We would aim for a small group to begin with and then split into more groups as the need arises. We will search for appropriate resource materials and there would be a small charge for the books that we would follow in the group/s. If you are interested in this then please give your name to Sarah.

Eco News from The Woodland Trust Grow your own food and cut flowers Shipped around the world and packed in plastic, some of the fruit, veg and flowers in the shops have an eye-watering carbon footprint. Reduce your impact by growing your own, even in small spaces. Grow herbs on a windowsill, tomatoes in hanging baskets and strawberries in containers, or slot some food crops into your existing borders. Tasting fruit and veg straight from your own garden is amazing! Want a low-cost, low-maintenance food source with bumper benefits for the environment? Plant your own fruit and nut trees. Varieties are available even for small gardens, the blossom is stunning, and they’ll shelter and feed wildlife as well as your family.
The next edition of the notices will be available from Sunday 7th September 2025. Please send any items for inclusion to Sarah before Wednesday 3rd September 2025. These notices will be updated once a month, so please hold onto them, do not delete them, until you get a revised version. That will save us time and money in unnecessary reprinting and will do another small bit for the environment, they are also published on our church website. If you have any additional notices for the month of then please email me and the Duty Steward will announce them on the relevant Sunday. Thank you.
