Eco Lent from A Rocha

Traditionally, Lent is a time when Christians fast and focus on God. The Carbon Fast helps us think about our carbon footprint and ask if there is any excess or unnecessary use in our lives, and if any of that excess is acting as a distraction to our relationship with God. With a different focus each week, you’ll learn more, ask questions, and focus on what God thinks about these areas of our lives, the first weeks are listed below. For more information follow the link, uk@arocha.org.

  • Week 1: Delight in and responsibility for nature
  • Week 2: Consumerism and shopping
  • Week 3: Money and investments
  • Week 4: Food waste and meat and dairy consumption

Thank You Space:

In this section of our church notices, we would like to thank those who do so much for our church family.

This month we would like to thank: Jean Whetham for all the work that she does not only with the FMC & Circuit accounts but for all that she does for our new church project.  We would also like to thank David Collins for all of the work that he does to provide music for each of our services.

The next edition of the notices will be available from Sunday 5th April 2026.

Please send any items for inclusion to Sarah before Tuesday 24th March. These notices will be updated once a month, so please hold onto them, do not delete them, until you get a revised version. That will save us time and money in unnecessary reprinting and will do another small bit for the environment, they are also published on our church website. If you have any additional notices for the month of then please email me and the Duty Steward will announce them on the relevant Sunday. Thank you.
