we continue to hold the following before God: we pray for Sylvia Bascombe, Karina Bakken, Barry Kelly, Bruce Keer, Barry Libby & Family, Sarah Smith’s mum Cynthia, Gwen Mason, Barbara Toyne, Pauline & Peter Cocks, Gwen Dunstan, Gill Wilkinson, and the residents and staff of care homes, especially Langholme.
Pastoral Contact: for May is Pauline
Thinking of you and missing you at church: Vanessa & Adrian Speller.
Eco Summer Tip: from Friends of the Earth
Save water. Don't wash the dishes!
Let them pile up to the point where you're actually wondering if it's ok to eat soup from a dog's bowl. Then, and only then, casually load the dirty pots into a dishwasher. Press the start button. Now sit down and catch your breath.
A fully loaded dishwasher can be more water efficient than washing by hand. Even if you're using a washing-up bowl.
Thank You Space:
In this section of our church notices, we would like to thank those who do so much for our church family. Our focus this month is on our Communion Stewards Pauline, Jenny and Christine, (& recently retired from duty Maureen), who faithfully prepare everything for each communion service. Thank you for all that you do for our church family.
The next edition of the notices will be available from Sunday 7th June 2026.
Please send any items for inclusion to Sarah before Tuesday 2nd June. These notices will be updated once a month, so please hold onto them, do not delete them, until you get a revised version. That will save us time and money in unnecessary reprinting and will do another small bit for the environment, they are also published on our church website. If you have any additional notices for the month of then please email me and the Duty Steward will announce them on the relevant Sunday. Thank you.
