Learning and Caring: Lent Course

Week 3

Kingdom People

Many of us met again on Zoom for our Lent course today and once we had overcome some technical difficulties, we had a remarkably interesting discussion sharing lots of personal stories about our practise of hospitality and demonstrating generosity to others.

A Methodist Way of Life: Lent Course week 2

Many of us met through Zoom again yesterday for the second part of our Lent Course led by Rev’d Andrew.

The focus this week was on ‘worship’ both personal and collective. Looking through the points about worship on the Way of Life card we considered our calling:

Monty in Kenya

I am sure that all of our church family will be delighted to read the article below from Monty (and James) who is currently in Kenya. It is a joy to read about this amazing young man and I would ask you all to keep him in your prayers.

As Methodists I am sure that most of us are familiar with the words of John Wesley to “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can,In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” These words of course describe what becomes for many 'social action' and  some of our church members have, during these challenging times,  decided to volunteer at our local Vaccination Centre 'doing all the good they can'. Below is a piece written by Jo describing her first day.
