Dear Lord, today we pray for your presence at our memorial service at 4pm this afternoon. Father of all mercy and giver of all comfort, give hope to those who are sad, console those who still miss someone special, grant peace to those who are angry. Help us to cast every care onto you, and guide us gently by your Holy Spirit through the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. In thankfulness for the past, help us to live our lives to the full in love and joy and peace. Amen

Environment and Climate Change

As COP26 begins, this is a crucial time for churches to learn more about the impact of climate change, to call for climate justice and to commit to reduce our own carbon footprint.

Following our harvest service of thanksgiving on Sunday several members of the church  got together today to make boxes full of goodies to send to friends in our church community to show how much they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Whilst President of  Methodist Women in Britain Hilary visited Mexico 

and she has created a video detailing her experiences.

What’s taking place here?

Church: Falmouth Methodist

On the first Wednesday of this month many of us gathered for a cream tea at

The Princess Pavilion for our first Wednesday Welcome in a very long time.

How wonderful it was to get together.

The cream tea was delicious and we all enjoyed the chat and company.

Today at FMC Rev Andrew led a Harvest of the Sea service with sea themed hymns and Bible readings. The church was decorated with a mini lifeboat, fishing nets, life buoys and other items. Importantly, Andrew reminded us that when we are sailing, metaphorically, into the darkness and all around us seems lost then we have Jesus to save us; our ever-present hope in times of trial. Tracy and Jenny read our Bible readings and the pop-up choir led the singing.
