In our Easter celebrations this morning Revd. Andrew invited people forward to an empty cross, kindly made by Monty, to be decorated with beautiful flowers (see photos). This floral transformation illustrated for us today the transforming power of the cross of Christ and Revd. Andrew reminded the congregation that Jesus' love is for all people. Our service concluded with the wonderful hymn Thine Be the Glory.
Falmouth & Penryn Churches Together held their traditional Good Friday Walk of Witness yesterday starting at Emmanuel Baptist Church, before stopping off at All Saints C of E, St Mary’s RC, the old URC building, The Salvation Army, outside the old Methodist Church building, with a reflection at each one, and finally inside King Charles the Martyr C of E - where Rev Bill led us in a short act of worship (pictured).
A few members of the church gathered together today
to make flower bouquets, to give out to the ladies in church,
for Mothering Sunday tomorrow.
Please do join us for this service which
will be led by Revd. Andrew Mumford at
the KCM Hall in New Street (Opposite the King Charles the Martyr Church) at 10.30am.
At Café Worship today we paid homage to Fairtrade as this is the last day of Fairtrade Fortnight. With worship songs linked by the theme of justice and fairness, we heard about the work of Fairtrade and individuals working within the scheme and the benefits that the scheme has brought to them and to their families.
